Pretty routine Job for the 3rd. District Companies. Good Fire in Side C of a Two Story Row House. No 17's Truck Captain had some concern of the Fire in the eave of the B/C side. And almost at the same time, the Safety Chief,BC-2, advised of heavy smoke pushing out of Side D. These concerns were quickly rectified. Apparently someone living there suffered some kind of injury, but refused treatment by Pittsburgh EMS. Five people were left homeless by this fire and the American Red Cross was called in to assist them. BC-3 had Fire Alarm call the BBI to respond this Am as the structure is a hazard and may have to be raised. The Second Alarm Companies got there pretty quick as most of them were still enroute to their Transfer Houses when the Second Alarm was struck.
